Terms and Licence

1. Who sells it

The Book Publishing System (“the system”) is sold by J.E. Minnie (“I”, “me”). Payment is taken through JVZoo, which processes the transaction and issues your receipt. Questions about the system go to me at james@atozinternetmarketing.com. By completing a purchase you agree to these terms.

2. What you buy

A digital product, delivered as downloads:

• the book-publishing-system plugin for Claude;
• the system folder for your own private GitHub repository, including the engine, the rules, the research workbook and a worked example book;
• the instructions for the two Claude projects;
• the manual, as a PDF and as an editable Word edition.

Two optional add-ons extend the system, each bought separately and each needing the system itself: the Fiction add-on (short stories, novellas and novels) and the Children's Books add-on (picture books, chapter books, coloring books and activity books). Each add-on comes as its own plugin, folder and manual, and these terms apply to each add-on as they do to the system; “the system” includes any add-on you buy.

Any updates I publish to the system or an add-on are free to existing buyers of it. Nothing physical is shipped.

3. Support, forum and newsletter

Every buyer has three ways to stay supported, at no extra cost:

• The helpdesk. Raise a problem, ask for help with a step, or request a change to the system. Problems and help requests are always included. Small customizations are included free; larger ones are quoted before any work starts, and you decide whether to go ahead. When a customization adds value for every buyer, it becomes part of a future upgrade, free to existing buyers.
• The forum. A buyers' forum where upgrades are announced and buyers share what works. Joining it is optional; if it runs on a third-party platform, that platform's own terms apply too.
• The newsletter. News of system upgrades, sent by email. It is optional, and every issue carries an unsubscribe link.

The links to the helpdesk, the forum and the newsletter are on your download page. Support covers the system as sold; it does not include working inside your KDP account, your Amazon Ads console or Author Central, which you always do yourself.

4. What you need, and who provides it

The system runs inside services that I do not own or control, each under its own terms and prices:

• a paid Claude plan from Anthropic (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise), used on the web, on your phone and in the Claude in Chrome extension;
• Google Chrome, a Google account with Google Drive, and Google's Drive desktop app;
• a free GitHub account with a private repository;
• a free Amazon KDP account to publish your books.

These services can change their features, limits, prices and rules at any time. If a change stops part of the system working, I will try to publish an update, but I cannot guarantee that every feature will keep working with every future version of these services. Their costs are yours.

5. Your licence

When your payment clears, I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the system to research, write, produce and market books that you publish under your own name or pen name, including books you publish for your own small business.

You may not:

• resell, give away, share, sublicense or publish the system, its files, the manual or any videos, in whole or in part;
• offer the system, or a copy or adaptation of it, as a product or a service to other people;
• use it to produce books for paying clients without a separate written agreement with me;
• remove copyright or licence notices from the files.

You may change the files in your own repository to suit your own books. Your changes stay under this licence.

6. Your books are yours

I claim no rights in the books, text, covers, listings or other material you create with the system. You are the publisher, and you are responsible for what you publish: its accuracy, its compliance with Amazon KDP's content guidelines and any other law that applies to it, the rights to everything in it, and your answers to KDP's questions, including the one about AI-generated content.

7. What the system does not do

• It does not promise any rank, sale, royalty or income. See the Earnings and AI Disclaimer.
• It does not give legal, tax, financial or medical advice. Its compliance gate screens for another author's material, trademarks and unsupported claims, but it does not clear anything legally.
• It never works inside your KDP account, your Amazon Ads console or Author Central. You make every change there yourself.

8. Refunds

You can have your money back within 30 days of purchase, for any reason. The Refund Policy explains how. When a purchase is refunded, the licence ends.

9. Liability

The system is provided as it is. I have built and tested it with care, but software, AI output and third-party services can fail, and I cannot promise that it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for lost profits, lost royalties, a rejected or removed book, account action by any platform, or other indirect loss, and my total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms, for example when the system or the services it uses change. The version on this page, with its date, is the one that applies. A change does not reduce the rights you already have for a purchase you have made.
